{"id":3838,"date":"2017-12-01T19:07:49","date_gmt":"2017-12-01T18:07:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.marottaeditori.com\/?p=3838"},"modified":"2018-02-07T15:38:04","modified_gmt":"2018-02-07T14:38:04","slug":"giosetta-fioroni-pop-female-faces-not-much","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/old.marottaeditori.com\/en\/giosetta-fioroni-pop-female-faces-not-much\/","title":{"rendered":"Giosetta Fioroni: Pop female faces (not too much)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\"><span class=\"\"><strong>Giosetta Fioroni<\/strong> has brought a breath of renewal to the Italian art after the Second World War.<\/span> <span class=\"\">Approaching &#8211; sometimes erroneously &#8211; American Pop Art, she moved away from it because of her desire to tell a sophisticated femininity, made of looks and atmospheres.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\"><span class=\"\">Born in Rome in 1932, daughter of art (her mother was a painter, her father a sculptor) <strong>Giosetta Fioroni<\/strong> has been immersed since she was very young in a creative and stimulating environment.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"\">Student of <strong>Toti Scialoja<\/strong> at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, she attended the gallery <strong>La Tartaruga<\/strong>, where she got to know the best of American art of the period: <strong>Cy Twombly<\/strong>, <strong>Robert Rauschenberg<\/strong> and <strong>Willem De Kooning<\/strong>.<\/span> <span class=\"\">She was the only woman to be part of the School of Piazza del Popolo, which marked the Italian way to Pop Art, with <strong>Tano Festa<\/strong>, <strong>Mario Schifano<\/strong> and <strong>Franco Angeli<\/strong>.<\/span> <span class=\"\">In 1964 she participated with the group to the <strong>Venice Biennale<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>The artistic experience of Giosetta Fioroni<\/h2>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\">Provided with an eclectic temperament, she dedicated herself to different forms of art.
