Extremely active, he has animated the cultural scene of the country by means of numerous and multifaceted initiatives.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In the late post-war period, the art in Italy is exclusively figurative. The discussion around figuration and abstraction only begins when\u00a0<strong>Achille Perilli<\/strong>,\u00a0along with\u00a0<strong>Ugo Attardi, Pietro Consagra, Piero Dorazio, Mino Guerrini, Carla Accardi, Antonio Sanfilippo<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Giulio Turcato<\/strong>, found the group\u00a0<strong>Forma 1<\/strong>. Perilli&#8217;s involvement is not just\u00a0 limited to the artistic research, but streches towards publishing. Magazines such as\u00a0<strong><em>Forma 1, Forma 2\u00a0and\u00a0L&#8217;esperienza moderna<\/em><\/strong> (with\u00a0<strong>Gastone Novelli<\/strong>) through which he promotes the revival of the\u00a0<strong>dada<\/strong> and <strong>surrealist<\/strong>\u00a0movements. His commitment reaches its best in the 90&#8217;s, with the\u00a0<strong>Librericciuola<\/strong> collection,\u00a0composed of quotes by poets, writers, photographers, musicians, architects and gathered into volumes ilustrated with his engravings.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Other than the\u00a0<strong>Gruppo Forma<\/strong>, which breaks up in 1953, Perilli enrolls in\u00a0 the<strong>\u00a0Gruppo Arte Sociale (GAS)\u00a0in in\u00a0MAC Movimento per l&#8217;Arte Concreta<\/strong> (1964),\u00a0 and\u00a0<strong>Gruppo Altro<\/strong> (1972), publishing the\u00a0<strong>Manifesto of the Foul Image in the Imaginary Space <\/strong>(1971) and that one of the\u00a0<strong>Theory of the geometric irrational <\/strong>(1982). Simultaneously he founds the library &#8211; gallery\u00a0<strong>L\u2019Age d\u2019Or\u00a0<\/strong>together with Dorazio and Guerrini (1950). In 2017 his <strong>Catalogo Generale<\/strong> comes out curated by <strong>Giuseppe Appella<\/strong>, who gathered the works produced between 1946 and 2016.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Formerly, Achille Perilli takes on his artistic research with abstract compositions made of narrative-graphic sequences. The so called\u00a0<em>graffiti<\/em> and\u00a0<em>comics<\/em>,\u00a0therefore dedicating himself to\u00a0<em>insane<\/em> geometries. Throughout his artistic carrier, he exhibits both in Italy and abroad becoming quite famous.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">For Bolaffi he made\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/old.marottaeditori.com\/en\/shop\/bolaffi-art-en\/achille-perilli-spades\/\">Spades<\/a>\u00a0for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/old.marottaeditori.com\/en\/product-category\/bolaffi-art-en\/playing-cards\/\">Playing Cards series.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Achille Perilli, born in Rome in 1927, is one of the best men of geometrical abstractism in Italy.
